‘That Day’, is a Latin inspired house tune with an upbeat melody and feel that cleverly disguise’s the serious content of the lyrics. It features Rachel Foster on vocals and is the title tune of Magic Numbers first album.
The record has an inspired fender Rhodes performance by pianist Raymond Angry (Esperanza Spalding/ Joss Stone) that floats around the melody beautifully.

The single was previously released on Martin ‘Atjazz’ Iveson’s Mantis Recordings and was later licensed to Stereo Deluxe/ Ministry of sound.

Produced and mixed by Martin ‘Atjazz’ Iveson and Ross Hillard. ‘That Day’ was the tune that Ross originally gave to Mantis recordings as a demo. Martin loved it and immediately asked if he would be interested in recording an album for the his label. Ross, Tom and Martin still work together and Ross can regularly be found the playing bass for Atjazz, live and in the studio.

We are very excited at Numb Records to have Magic Numbers classic back catalogue and we are even more excited to be releasing singles and album! Watch this space!
